Xmas Blogging- Day 15- I survived first term!

Yes, I did it, I survived my first ever term of uni (somehow!). I haven’t really talked too much about university on my blog, so I feel now is the time to write about some of the things which have happened so far. To mention all would take an awfully long time, so I may have to write more posts about uni in the future.

I’m not going to lie to you and say it was easy and was the best thing ever because it wasn’t. There was many times where I felt like I couldn’t do it, and that I broke down as the essay was just too hard. Maybe, you’d say ‘oh it’s just first year, it doesn’t matter’ well it matters to me as it sets you ahead for the next 2 (or 3) years at uni. Starting well means you’ll develop good habits for the terms ahead, so that’s exactly what I’m trying to do.

I’ve got some pretty awesome friends, like Chloe (I know you’re reading this!)

I’ve done so much extra stuff- from being a presenter and newsreader on DemonFM, getting actively involved in DMU’s Labour Society and going climbing again (although I haven’t been able to do this as much as planned!)

I’ve also been ill, especially during the weeks that my essays were due- what typical timing! So, yes it was more of a stressful time than I’d hoped.

I got a new phone, because of course, the old one had a serious battery problem. But then again, everyone in my family says I’m not too good with phones anyway, so who knows! πŸ˜‚

Not sure what else to say right now, so I’ll write some more about uni either this year or early next year!
